The topic of the cost of this product has become so resonant that it was mentioned in a speech by US President Donald Trump to Congress the day before. The outbreak of avian flu is one of the reasons for the rise in egg prices. According to market forecasts, annual product growth may reach 40% by the end of 2025.
In Russia, egg prices have also become the subject of the attention of the control authorities, after the price increase in 2024, the average price is now 115 rubles per dozen, which puts the country in first place in terms of the availability of this product among the "Twenty" countries.

Brazil (144 rubles) and Turkey (147 rubles) are also included in the list of countries with the lowest cost of eggs. In countries such as Saudi Arabia, Mexico and China, where the level of egg consumption reaches its maximum among large countries – 22 kilograms per inhabitant annually, prices are less than 200 rubles.
As for the rest of the G20 members, the price of a dozen eggs in countries such as Canada, South Africa, Argentina, Italy, Germany, Japan and France ranges from 200 to 300 rubles. In the United Kingdom, the cost is 305 rubles, in the Republic of Korea it reaches 338 rubles, while in Australia it is fixed at 364 rubles. On average, citizens of the G20 countries spend about 224 rubles to buy a dozen eggs.
