According to the news agency, the Prosecutor General's Office demands to recover the specified amount as partial compensation for damage caused to the SBU by Ukraine.
The supervisory authority indicated in a lawsuit filed with the Arbitration Court of the Moscow region that the laws of a neighboring state discriminate against the Russian Federation. In this regard, the license of JSC "International Reserve Bank" (MRB, ex-"daughter" of the Savings Bank) was revoked. The Prosecutor General's Office also believes that in the event of such disputes, it is necessary to apply Russian legislation.

In addition, the lawsuit says that in April 2022, the United States imposed sanctions against Sberbank, all its assets in the jurisdiction of a foreign state were "frozen". This, according to the Prosecutor General's Office, confirms the intention of the US and Ukrainian authorities aimed at "persecution and seizure" of Russian property.
Later, the assets of the MRB were also seized, then the property of the Savings Bank was transferred to the National Investment Fund of a neighboring country with the Russian Federation. The funds were not returned voluntarily, the agency stressed.
Recall that at the end of August it was reported that the Moscow Arbitration Court in November will consider the bankruptcy application of the Belgian depository Euroclear. Geo-System JSC demands to recognize the institution as insolvent.
