So, today more than 150 people are engaged in sailing in Anapa, and more than 600 in beach sports. Four beach destinations are developing in the city — football, volleyball, handball and sambo. According to Igor Vikulov, head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the resort city administration, it is planned to increase the number of students to 5,000 by 2030. Popular destinations include kiteboarding, windsurfing, sapsurfing, diving, open water swimming, and beach views.
One of the main sporting events of this autumn in Anapa was the Russian Sailing Championship. Almost 200 yachtsmen from all over the country took part in the competition. The "Gorgippian Games" were held in September. This is an analogue of the Olympic Games of Ancient Greece. This year, more than 500 athletes from the Krasnodar Territory took part in the competitions, which were held at four venues. The final stage, the pentathlon competition, took place at the Beach Sports Center. The participants ran on the sand, jumped in length, threw a sports javelin and competed in wrestling.
Another significant event is the Krasnodar Territory Beach Sambo Championship. More than 100 participants from Anapa, Novorossiysk, Krasnodar, Gelendzhik and other municipalities fought for victory. Anapa athletes rose to the highest step of the podium in the team competition.

Also in Anapa this summer there were championships in beach soccer and handball, a mini-lapta tournament on the beach among boys and girls born in 2012-2013, boys and girls born in 2010-2011, dedicated to the participant of the Great Patriotic War Kulkin Vasily Mikhailovich.
More than 150 athletes from nine regions of Russia took part in the sailing competition "Anapa Spring Sails" - regatta named after Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Golubets. In addition, the championship of the Russian Federation in the Optimist yacht class took place in the city.
The popularity of beach sports in Anapa is growing every year. In this regard, in 2023, it was decided to build a new sports center on the beach in the city. The facility was commissioned this year. These are two volleyball courts, two fields for beach soccer, handball and sambo. The stands here can accommodate 1,200 spectators. The beach sports center is equipped with a "Safe City" video surveillance system. This summer, beach soccer, handball, volleyball and sambo competitions were held at the venues of the center. More than 700 athletes took part in them.

Currently, a yacht club and a sports water-rowing boat station are being arranged in Anapa. These facilities are necessary for the training of the national teams of Russia, Krasnodar Territory and Anapa. The construction of facilities is carried out at the expense of funds from the regional budget. The yacht club and the boat station will have rooms for storing boats, yachts, as well as classrooms. In the near future, it is planned to create playgrounds for beach sports throughout the famous Anapa sandy beaches.
